FORMER Saints player Paul Forber appeared on TV’s Homes Under the Hammer as he helped renovate his daughter’s new house.
Presenter Dion Dublin came to Haydock as the cameras followed the story of Paul’s daughter Jess and fiancé Josh as they purchased their first home after returning from living in Australia.
Buying the semi-detached property in 2022, nurse Jess and fraud analyst Josh have turned it into an “exciting contemporary” home.
The episode of Homes Under the Hammer featuring Jess and Josh's home was broadcast on BBC One on Wednesday, October 23.
The show depicted how the house underwent a wholesale transformation including a larger kitchen, extended bathroom, new driveway, re-rendering the front and back and a renovated back garden.
It was said how ex-rugby player Paul was instrumental in them completing the works bringing “the muscle” and also his “brains and experience”. Paul helped with the carpentry, plumbing and worked on all of the windows and doors, woodwork and more.
Jess and Josh, who got engaged during the process of the refurbishment and plan to get married in Australia, ended the show really happy with their fully refurbished home, coming in under budget at a total of £148,000 including purchase and renovations.
