POLICE have made an arrest after a van was allegedly speeding in St Helens.
Officers from Merseyside Police's Roads Policing Unit say that after the vehicle was spotted travelling at "excess speed" it was pulled over.
Police noticed a smell of cannabis and tested the driver at the roadside.
An extendable baton and drugs were also seized.
Police later made an arrest in connection with the incident.
