WE may only be a few days into October, but Hallowe’en has long been on the mind of this family, who once again have pulled out all the stops for their decorated home this year.
To say spooky fan Louise Towler from Crow Lane West in Newton-le-Willows loves Hallowe’en would be an understatement.
For years now, her home has been transformed into weird and wonderful movie like sets each spooky season.
Past décor has included turning her garden into Hawkins with a Stranger Things themed Hallowe’en – complete with Vecna - as well as Wednesday Addams.
Louise, who owns V&L Kitchen Wraps, said: “We were going to go with a Satan theme as last year we got a letter from someone telling us what we do with our home every year is bad and we need to repent.
"But with the new Beetlejuice film out we decided to go on a nostalgic front and do the original film as the theme and people have absolutely loved it.
"All the money raised from doing this goes to making Christmas dreams come true for children in the UK and last year we raised £1,400 for Sedulo and gifted presents to 10 boys and 10 girls and with the money left over donated gifts to a St Helens care home and whatever was left we got food for the food bank so it's all going to help others.
"People have been really enjoying it this year, it took us six weeks to put it all together, the snake and the concrete hand were the hardest but everyone loves Bob.
"One guy came from Scotland to see the display and the other day I got a notification on our Ring doorbell to say people were in our garden and there was three women in their 30s messing around enjoying the display in the garden so it's for adults and children to enjoy and we love that.
"We can never understand why the UK doesn't make as much of a fuss out of Hallowe'en but clearly people enjoy it and we love doing it every year."
