UNITED Utilities were called out to fix a water leak in Newton-le-Willows last night.
Residents of the area in and around Billington Avenue reported the incident on Sunday, October 6.
Footage of water flooding the road due to a burst mains was shared by residents on social media.
Some reported having lost their water supply last night while the incident was ongoing.

When asked about this on Monday morning, a spokesman for United Utilities confirmed there had been a leak in the location.
He added that the matter has since been fixed.
