A WOMAN has been sentenced after 16 Easter eggs were stolen from a petrol station in St Helens.

On Saturday, January, 27, it has been reported that Natalie Lucas stole 16 Easter eggs from the BP station on St Helens Linkway.

With the easter eggs subsequently recovered, Lucas was also accused of causing £660 worth of damage to the station's entrance door, but this offence was withdrawn.

After a warrant was issued for Lucas, the 38-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge of theft and was given conditional discharge for 12 months, meaning that she will only be sentenced if a further offence is committed during this time.

With Lucas' case heard at Lancaster Courthouse on Friday, August 16, the 38-year-old was ordered to pay the Crown Prosecution Service a charge of £85.
