PLANS have been submitted to convert a prominent guest house building.

Proposals have been sent to the council to turn the Park View Hotel and Guest House into a 16-bed house of multiple occupation.

Permission is being sought by applicant Raymond Guy for a change of use of the property at 333 - 335 Prescot Road.

The Star reported in June after the prominent Victorian detached building, close to Taylor Park, was listed for auction.

An application form described the proposals as "conversion of hotel/guest house into 16-bed HMO".

HMOs are single properties that have at least three tenants living there, who share a toilet, bathroom, or kitchen facilities.

It states there are 10 parking spaces at the property.

The application is on standard consultation to the public until Friday, October 18.

A decision on the proposals is expected to be made by council planners by November 18.
