AUTUMN is here and pumpkin pickers are on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin patch.
To decorate for the spooky season, or to use for a soulful recipe, pumpkins are in popular demand and farm patches are a fun visit for all the family.
Locations around the borough and beyond have been preparing their sites to offer plumpy pumpkins perfect for picking.
Here are the perfect pumpkin patches around St Helens and surrounding areas:
Rainford Christmas Trees
Rainford Christmas Tree's Pumpkin Patch on Catchdale Moss Farm
The popular site, known for its annual pumpkin patch, is free to visit with no tickets need.
The family favourite has a cafe on site, hot drinks, and autumn favourites available to purchase.
The patch is located at Catchdale Moss Farm and is open Monday - Saturday from 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

Birchall's Pumpkin Patch
This patch, located on Reeds Lane, Rainford, has already had returning visitors and is ready to welcome newcomers.
No bookings are necessary and dogs are welcome.
The site is open Monday - Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-5pm.
Sandhill Strawberry Farm
This strawberry picking spot is annually an ideal location to look for pumpkins.
The patch, situated on Warrington Road, Rainhill, is a traditional farm that welcomes the community all year round.
The farm is open everyday from 9am-5pm.
Kenyon Hall Farm
Kenyon Hall Farm in Croft is a vibrant patch with over 15,000 pumpkins grown this year.
With a huge outdoor and indoor selection, the farm boasts pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colours as well as a large, and well-stocked shop full of pumpkins and freshly-grown produce.
Tickets must be booked in advance at Kenyon Hall, and with limited availability throughout the rest of the month, residents are advised to book now to avoid disappointment.
The Hayloft
The Halloween celebrations at The Hayloft in Bold Heath include the pumpkin patch and spooky maze which will be open on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 and then every day from Friday, October 11 until Thursday, October 31.
The Hayloft will be open on selected dates for twilight sessions.
Pumpkin picking is free – you just need to pay for what you pick in the pumpkin fields – and you can pick your own sweetcorn at £1 per cob.
The maze is £3.50 per person with prizes for completing the puzzle inside.
You can ride the miniature railway or feed the cows and the coffee shop, play area and pedal tractor rides will be open as usual.
