A MAN found in possession of a lock knife in a public place has been sentenced to jail.
Callum McNamara, of Ellison Drive, Old Eccleston, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, September 25.
The 28-year-old had indicated a guilty plea in an earlier hearing on August 16 to possession of a knife.
On July 19, McNamara had a lock knife on him in a public place on Boardmans Lane, Blackbrook.

District judge Boswell sentenced the defendant to 17 weeks imprisonment.
According to a court sheet this was because the offence was "so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified".
It added that the prison sentence was passed after consideration of "the sentencing guidelines" and "the previous convictions of the defendant".
The judge refused a Serious Violence Reduction Order application made by the Crown Prosecution Service.
The court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the knife under the Prevention of Crime Act.
McNamara was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £154.
His guilty plea was taken into account upon sentencing.
