A TEENAGE boy who suffered serious injuries after being stabbed multiple times earlier this month has been discharged from hospital.

At around 10.15pm on Monday, September 2, police were called to Pennine Drive, in Parr, to reports that a 14-year-old boy had been stabbed multiple times by two attackers, who reportedly ran off into nearby Gaskell Park.

The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Police have made two arrests in connection with the stabbing.

A 19-year-old man, from Newton-le-Willows, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent in connection with the attack. He was later released bail pending further inquiries.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy from Warrington was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He was conditionally bailed pending further inquiries. 

After being asked for an update on the victim, a police spokesman confirmed to the Star that the boy has been discharged from hospital.
