POLICE were called out to an estate following a reported attempted theft from a van.
Officers carried out searches after they were alerted to an incident on Barwell Avenue, in Laffak, on Wednesday night, September 26.
It is understood residents have reported several incidents of attempted thefts from vehicles in the area over recent days.
Police did not manage to find the suspect and are urging anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to come forward.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that inquiries are ongoing following an attempted theft in St Helens last night, Wednesday, September 25.
"At around 9.10pm, we received a report of an attempted theft from a van in Barwell Avenue.
"House-to-house and area searches were carried out and proved negative.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or lives locally and captured anyone acting suspiciously on CCTV, dashcam or doorbell devices can contact @MerPolCC with reference 24000824663."
