POLICE searching for a missing man have confirmed that a body has been found in a wooded area.
Merseyside Police had issued a missing person appeal on Sunday, September, 15, over the whereabouts of 44-year-old Jaroslav Novotny.
Jaroslav had last been driving along Gorsey Lane at 4.50pm on Thursday, September 12.
A spokesman confirmed that a body was found on Monday, September 16, in a wooded area off Reginald Road, Sutton.
The body has been formally identified as the missing Jaroslav Novotny.
Police added that his death is not being treated as suspicious and the matter has been referred to the coroner.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that a body found in St Helens is that of missing 44-year-old man Jaroslav Novotny.
"Jaroslav was reported missing on Thursday, September 12, and was sadly found on Monday, September 16, in a wooded area off Reginald Road. He has been formally identified.
"The death of Jaroslav is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the Coroner’s office."
