MOTORISTS are being warned of potential traffic delays tomorrow when a funeral procession heads through St Helens.
In a statement, St Helens Council issued advice to people ahead of the service which is due to take place on Thursday, September 26.
It is understood the funeral is for a member of the Traveller community in St Helens. A large amount of mourners are expected to gather.
A council statement read: "There is likely to be traffic disruption tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, September 26) due to a large funeral procession taking place in the borough.
"Possible delays are expected from 12pm.
"Roads likely to be affected are James Roby Way (formerly St Helens Linkway), Chalon Way and Rainford Road."
