The defendant appeared at the magistrates' court
A MAN who has denied charges of assault and ABH will face a trial in the new year.
Ashley Ryan, 37, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Thursday, September 12.
Ryan is charged with assault by beating of a female on March 11 this year in Parr.
He is also charged with ABH in relation to an alleged assault on March 12 on the female.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Magistrates adjourned the case for a trial to take place.
Ryan, of Park Road North, Birkenhead, was remanded on conditional bail until his next hearing in the magistrates' court, scheduled for January 23, 2025.
