TRAFFIC delays have been reported following an incident in Earlestown.
Information from the traffic monitoring service Inrix states that Sefton Street has been closed in both directions due to a "police incident".
Heavy traffic was reported in both directions from around Berkley Court to Lloyd Crescent, with officers extending the road closure after they arrived.

Merseyside Police has confirmed that the incident related to a two car collision on Marian Avenue at around 10.15am on Tuesday, September 17.
The incident involved a blue Nissan Juke and a blue/black Renault Capture, with the vehicles partially blocking the road.
No injuries have been reported, and it is believed that the road reopened at around 11.20am.
