A MAJOR business to business networking event will take place in St Helens later this week - after partner organisations stepped in to save it.

The St Helens Business EXPO is an annual event, usually staged by St Helens Chamber.

However, the Chamber's financial collapse earlier this year left a void and it was feared the event would not go ahead.

Event's rescue

However, a range of partners - St Helens RFC, St Helens Council, real5 Networking and Willowbrook Hospice - have come together to ensure the Business EXPO 2024 is staged on Wednesday, September 18.

Saints' stadium will host the B2B event to ensure it remains a valuable part of the town’s business calendar for the year.

A spokesperson for the event said: "The EXPO has always proved to be beneficial to the local business community and we hope they will continue to lend their support to ensure the success and continuation of the event in coming years.

"The event hosts exhibitors from a wide range of business industries and sectors, ranging from small starts ups to large established companies.

"real5 Networking will once again be hosting their networking sessions throughout the day giving businesses the opportunity to maximise their profits, create new opportunities and develop new contacts.

"And St Helens council will be hosting a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event allowing businesses to meet with lead contractors & major buyers."

The event at the stadium off McManus way is free to attend and will run from 10am to 2pm.
