A MAN has been found not guilty following a rape charge in St Helens.

A reported by the Star earlier this year, detectives charged Christopher Bridgeham, of Millom Grove in Thatto Heath, in connection with an alleged rape of a woman.

Detectives made the charge following an incident in the early hours of November 15, 2022, where a woman reported that she was raped at an address in St Helens.

Following the investigation, Bridgeham, 55, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, September 12 and was found not guilty.
