THE parents of Violet-Grace Youens say they have had the honour of offering support to the family of a little girl who died in the Southport tragedy.

Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven were killed in a knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class at a Southport holiday club in July.

The tragedy led to an outpouring of sympathy and support for her family.

Violet's parents, Becky and Glenn, suffered the devastation of losing their four-year-old daughter following a hit-and-run collision in St Helens in 2017.

Since then her mum and dad have campaigned on various issues, with their charity Violet-Grace's Gift supporting bereaved parents.

This week, the family said they had the heart-rending honour of meeting Alice’s mum and dad.

In a social media post, shared with permission of Alice's parents, Violet-Grace's gift stated: "As they shared memories of Alice, it became clear what a truly extraordinary young girl Alice was.

"She wasn’t just full of life and joy, she was the heartbeat of her family. Always there with a warm smile, ready to help, and constantly spreading love.

"Alice had a passion for face masks, nails, skincare, and was always the life of the dance party. She was a peacekeeper of her friends and never liked to see them sad or upset.

"Her gentle soul and caring nature made her the glue that held everything together. Everyone who knew her needed her light in their lives.

They added: "Alice wasn’t just a wonderful girl; she was a remarkable daughter. Her parents spoke of her with such pride, recounting how thoughtful and loving she was.

"Alice always made sure her mum and dad knew how much she adored them, constantly filling their home with laughter and warmth.

"Her love for them was endless, and the bond they share is unbreakable."

The charity worked with the Liverpool Casting Studio, which created a delicate hand cast for Alice's parents.

Violet-Grace's gift added: "Through this precious piece, Alice’s mum and dad can hold her hand once more, a tender, tangible reminder of the daughter who still holds their hearts.

"Watching them talk about Alice, their eyes filled with love, was beyond emotional.

"We wish there was more we could do to ease their unimaginable pain, but sadly, we know that kind of hurt never truly fades.

"All we can offer is our deepest support, sympathy and hope they find some comfort in Alice’s memories and the love she left behind.

"She was more than a daughter — she was their world, and she will never be forgotten."
