A MUM-OF-TWO who had previously beaten cancer was given a devastating terminal diagnosis just months after her dad's passing.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2020, Kellie Haury bravely fought the illness throughout isolating covid restrictions and managed to recover after having her breast removed and reconstructed.
Despite losing her hair and often going through treatment alone, the mum-of-two is said to have remained strong throughout her battle, particularly as her dad and sister were also diagnosed with cancer around a similar time.
Kellie's friends said that the 38-year-old continued to remain strong even after her dad passed away earlier this year, and after she was evicted from her home following a dispute with the landlord.
However, in another cruel twist of fate, Kellie was told that her cancer had returned following a routine mammogram in April 2024, and this time it had spread to her lymph nodes, spinal cord, and brain. At just 38 years old, she was told that her illness was terminal.

Although Kellie was informed that the cancer had spread rapidly around her body, resulting in eight tumours on her brain, she continued to work every day as she was constantly worried about taking time off and the financial impact this would have on her family.
As the cancer has more recently started to have an physical impact on Kellie, restricting her arm movements, she has been forced to take sick leave from work as she can no longer drive.
Nevertheless, as Kellie's partner is now taking time off work to take her to appointments, the family continue to worry about money and the lack of income during her cancer treatment.
This is why Kellie's friends have launched an online fundraiser and a fundraising event at the Sutton Junction Inn pub, to try and raise as much money as possible and ease the financial burden for the family.
Lynsey Bates, Kellie's friend of more than 20 years, said: "I struggled to get Kellie's bank details off her because she has never asked anyone for anything.
"She is such a strong, hard working, independent woman, but now her independence is being taken away from her.
"Despite everything that has happened, she tries to remain as positive as she can and she laughs and jokes about her lack of good luck.
"This is why we wanted to set the fundraiser up to allow the family to enjoy some much needed quality time together, as they have no idea how much time they have left together.
"No amount of money will change Kellie’s situation but it could ease some of the financial worries."

The fundraiser at the Junction Inn pub starts at 2pm on Sunday, September 8, and will host a live singer, raffles, food stalls, and more.
