JOHNNY Vegas’ annual celebrity bowls event once again drew the crowds to Ruskin Drive sportsground.
The event - organised by the Steve Prescott Foundation - continues to takes place in memory of Johnny’s dad Laurence ‘Lol’ Pennington, who died in 2017.
The annual crown green bowling event brings celebrities from the worlds of showbiz and sport to St Helens. This year’s contest included two politicians as mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham and Liverpool Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram joined the fun.

Sponsored by Barton’s Pickles, the bowling event was part of the wider St Helens Gala Fest, with the day including a vibrant mix of stalls and activities.
A ticketed music festival followed the day’s fun, with tribute acts delighting the crowd.
