A TIGHT-KNIT community went haywire over the Bank Holiday weekend as dozens of scarecrows were installed along a local trail.
Inspired by a previous scarecrow trail during the pandemic, the 'Friends of Seneley Green' community group organised the trail and encouraged residents to get involved with their own hay-stuffed creations.
In total, around 40 creative crows went up around Garswood, Seneley Green, and Downall Green; creating a trail for residents to walk around, spot the crows, and visit previously unexplored areas.

Some of the interesting works included the Pirate of the Caribbean Jack Sparrow, a parka-wearing Liam Gallagher, as well as various other children's and spooky characters.
With creations popping up in front gardens, bushes, and on post boxes, there was also a husband and bride couple of crows, with the latter wearing the wedding dress of the homeowner from 57 years ago.
Feedback to the trail is said to have been "extremely positive" and got many residents out in the community together, with many asking to bring the event back next year.
The Friends of Seneley Green is made up of a small group of volunteers who are committed to making their community a great place to live.
Throughout the year, they organise community events such as Easter egg hunts, kids crafts, tabletop sales, and bulb planting, as well as Halloween and Christmas events.
