EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a crash after a car hit a lamppost.
A Vauxhall Astra crashed into a lamppost on Vista Road, Newton-le-Willows on Monday evening, August 26.
Police, fire and rescue crews and an ambulance rushed to the scene after the collision.
One casualty was injured in the crash, who was taken to hospital for further assessment.
A police spokeswoman said they suffered a "minor injury".
A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "MFRS attended an incident on Vista Road, Newton-le-Willows on the evening of Monday, August 26.
"Crews were alerted at 7.25pm and on scene at 7.27pm, with one fire engine attending.
"This was a one-vehicle road traffic collision with a lamppost. The vehicle was on all four wheels and one casualty involved was conscious and breathing."

He added: "North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) attended and conveyed the casualty to hospital for further assessment.
"St Helens Council was contacted due to the impact with street lighting.
"Crews left the incident with Merseyside Police and left the scene at 7.49pm."
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman confirmed they attended a "minor injury RTC" with "one car involved, a Vauxhall Astra, which was in collision with a lamppost
"We were contacted at 7.15pm yesterday."
