THE Johnny Vegas celebrity bowls event is taking place at Ruskin Drive today (Sunday, August 25) - and a host of faces from the worlds of sports, showbiz - and politics will be taking part.

The event, sponsored by Bartons Pickles will see participants play crown green bowling for the Lol Pennington Memorial Cup, in honour of Johnny's dad Lol.

Funds will be raised for the Steve Prescott Foundation, which is organising the event.

Here's is the draw for the the event at Ruskin sportsground. The first round of bowling is due to start at 12.30pm.

There will also be a special exhibition match from Coronation Street stars Jude Riordan and Isabella Flanagan.

The Metro Mayors Steve Rotherham and Andy Burnham will play each other and Johnny Vegas will take on Paul Sculthorpe in exhibition matches.
