TWO men have been arrested after police seized a hoard of suspected stolen bikes at an industrial estate.

Officers executed a warrant at industrial units on Shannons Lane in Knowsley on Wednesday, August 21.

In a search of the premises, police found 34 suspected stolen Surron bikes, scramblers and quad bikes on the premises.

A Ford van and Fiesta car which are also suspected to be stolen were also located on the site.

The following day, Thursday, August, 22, officers arrested two men aged 25 and 27 years from Croxteth, Liverpool, on suspicion of handling stolen goods. They have been released under investigation with inquiries ongoing.

Knowsley Policing Inspector Andy Robinson said: "These two arrests were part of our proactive work to ensure we take offenders off our streets. 

“We are relentless in pursuing those involved in criminality across Knowsley. 

“Our work to bring these people to justice will continue on a daily basis and I would ask anyone who has information about this kind of activity to come forward so action can be taken.”
