A PUB landlord aims to build on the success of his predecessor and believes that the venue can "only get better".
With Alex O'Neill taking over the Boars Head pub in 2016, when it was under threat of being demolished, the former DJ managed to change the pub's fortunes around as the venue quickly became known as a popular and charitable boozer.
One reason for this success was due to the various fundraising events that Alex held over his eight years at the helm, and with new landlord Nathan Valentine taking over the Elton Head Road boozer in April, this is something he wants to build on as he looks to make the pub his own.

Aware of how important the charitable side of the pub is to regulars, Nathan and the team will host 'Boars Fest' this weekend, which will showcase live entertainment, kids activities, and food and drink stalls, while raising money for Willowbrook Hospice.
Aiming to organise further fundraisers in the future, Nathan, who is originally from Salford, says that the Admiral Taverns pub will also act as a foodbank drop-off point all year round.
In addition to the pub's charitable efforts, Nathan has also organised the pub's new "rhythm of the week", such as bingo, pool, quiz, and karaoke nights, to entice customers in throughout the week.
With a wide selection of beers, spirits, and cocktails behind the bar, the Boars Head also boasts a large beer garden and showcases live sports and live music at weekends, which helps to create a vibrant atmosphere at the Sutton pub.
Nathan, who used to work at the Eagle and Child pub in Billinge, said: "After working in Billinge, I wanted a pub with a bit more hustle and bustle and I knew that the Boars Head had a really good reputation.
"We try to provide something for everyone throughout the week, and we definitely want to carry on the charity side too, although I know I've got some big shoes to fill.
"I think this is important because I've worked in pubs for 19 years and the community wants to get behind anything they can here, it's unreal.
"We've got more things to come throughout the year, and I think with the nearby developments going on around here, I think the pub is only going to get better."
