POLICE say it is believed that a fire that engulfed a van was started deliberately.
The Star reported after fire crews attended Cooper Lane, in Haydock, shortly before 8.45pm on Tuesday evening, August 20.
Two fire engines were at the scene where one van was ablaze.
One firefighter used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Police have issued an appeal after the fire, believed to be an arson attack.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We received a report that a van was on fire on Cooper Lane, in St Helens, at around 8.45pm on Tuesday 20 August.
"Officers attended the scene and the fire had been extinguished by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
"Inquiries are ongoing into the incident, but it’s believed that the fire was started deliberately.
