A MUSIC festival that has provided a buzzing atmosphere and a boost for town centre businesses will return for the second time this summer.
With the idea to revive and refresh the popular West Fest, which hosted live performances along Westfield Street and the wider town centre, the inaugural St Helens Music Festival last summer.
With a talented selection of artists playing across multiple venues, the day festival was a big success as it provided an “electric atmosphere” and encouraged more visitors into the town centre.
After managing to recapture this atmosphere with the relaunch of the festival in May, organisers are having a second crack at the event to provide a further boost to the town.

Starting at 12.30pm on Sunday, September 1, the Citadel, Imperial Quarter, The Church, and The Terrace @ Imperial will all host artists throughout the day.
With guests able to move about each of the venues free of charge, artists such as Jack Bennett, Sarah Waters, Kiera Weathers, One Long Day, and Heaven’s Reign will provide the music to sing along to.
Food options will also be available at the Imperial Quarter vendors, while the Imperial will carry the festival into the early hours with a selection of DJs.
A spokesperson for the festival said: “The countdown is on for the annual St. Helen’s Music Festival - previously known as West Fest!
“This will be the town’s second music festival of the year. With the first one held back in May proving a huge success.
“We are back bigger and better, with new acts across all of our venues (Imperial Quarter, The Citadel, The Church and The Terrace) - we start off the day at the Imperial Quarter which opens at 12.30.
“St. Helen’s favourite Jack Bennett will be headlining the day, singing at all of our venues and ending with the festival finale in The Church at 7pm!
“Also performing throughout the day are favourites Jukebox Duo, Kiera Weathers, Sarah Waters, Heavens Reign and many more! With the after party in The Terrace at Imperial with our resident DJ Harvey Gaskell.”
