JOHNNY Vegas' annual Celebrity Bowls event will return to St Helens this weekend.
Following the passing of Johnny Vegas' dad Laurence 'Lol' Pennington in 2017, the actor and comedian has hosted an annual bowling event that brings celebrities from the worlds of showbiz and sport to St Helens.
With Lol loving a game of bowls, the event matches celebrities up with members of the public, who bid to play with their favourite stars and help to raise money for the Steve Prescott Foundation.
Taking place at Ruskin Sports Village, celebrities who have previously graced the St Helens bowling field include actors such as Ricky Tomlinson and Tim Healy, rugby league legends such as James Roby and Paul Wellens, Premier League footballers such as Conor Coady, and many more.
