CORONATION Street's Jude Riordan has shared a special milestone with his fans.

The 13-year-old from Lea Green, St Helens plays Sam Blakeman on the soap.

The young actor has won awards and acclaim after starring in some of Corrie's major storylines since joining the show when he was still at primary school.

Jude's Instagram account is updated by his parents and last weekend they shared a post that underlined how time flies.

The post showed a picture from Jude's first day on set before explaining how it has been four years since he joined the show.

The caption read: "CORRIE - VERSARY. 4 whole years of Sammy B!

"How quick has that gone, was only meant to be 6 months and he's kept on rolling.

"Thank you for loving Sam. He is a joy to play and care for. Side note - they were the best trainers he's ever had! Look at the size of me."

Jude’s post was reshared on the official Coronation Street platform, which wrote: "Happy Corrieversary Jude!!"

Fans reacted to the post by congratulating the youngster on the landmark, while others reflected on how it’s crazy how time flies.

In 2021 Jude was named Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards after making a huge impression on soap fans.

His character Sam Blakeman, the long lost son of Nick Tilsley, was at the forefront of some explosive storylines this year, including a dramatic kidnap plot.

Jude, from Lea Green, first hit TV screens in 2017 after starring in The Secret Life of Five Year Olds on Channel 4.

Since then, the former St John Vianney pupil has gone on to appear in CBBC programmes and several adverts.

In 2018 he landed the coveted role as Tyler in Sky One’s Brassic alongside former Corrie star Michelle Keegan and has earned plenty of plaudits for his role in the hit comedy.
