'A fun way to support our pubs'
Ian Pye, St Helens and Districts pubs officer said: “We can’t wait to do the treasure hunt again this year.
"It’s been a great success in previous years with everyone saying how much they enjoyed it and for some, it is the first event of ours they have come along to. We can only do this though if people come and take part.
"This year is extra special as it is also forming part of Liverpool CAMRA’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
"With more pubs closing every day, some in our own town, this is a fun way to help support them and show their importance to their communities. The treasure hunt is a family-friendly event so everyone is welcome, and you don’t have to be a CAMRA member to take part.
“Ideally, we’d like teams to be up to six people and it’s £1 per person to enter. It’s going to be a treasure hunt with a difference so get down to the Cricks and join us for what should be another great afternoon.”
St Helens and Districts CAMRA branch comes under Merseyside and Cheshire region and has more 700 members.
It campaigns for quality real ale, cider and perry in thriving pubs across St Helens and advocates pubs and clubs as social centres in the community and promotes the benefits of responsible social drinking.
