A ST HELENS business has been nominated in the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA).
Dubbed the 'Oscars of the Curry Industry', the awards ceremony is a nationwide celebration of British-Asian Cuisine and the individuals involved in its creation.
The competition rewards "excellence, craft, and great taste" in the industry, as almost a million customers vote for their favourite restaurant and takeaways across the country.

With businesses judged on their quality of food, quality of service, and value for money, there will be national and regional winners across various cuisines in the Asian food industry.
Businesses will also be marked on their Trip Advisor and Google reviews, food hygiene ratings, as well as their product's appearance, flavour, texture, and aroma.
In the north west, the best of the region's restaurants and takeaways have been whittled down to ten businesses in each category.
In the regional Restaurant of the Year category, St Helens' only nominee is the Moss Bank Express, on Dalehead Place.
The Indian takeaway has been a firm favourite over the years, and has a wide range of classic curries, tandoori dishes, and chef specials.
The Moss Bank Express will now face off against nine of the best north west takeaways in an 'ARTA Cook Off' event, where the shortlisted businesses will compete against each other to determine the ultimate winner.
The finalists from each region will then be invited to the Grand Finale event at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park, London, on Sunday, October 6.
