TWO suspects were arrested after police executed a drugs warrant at a property in Prescot.

Officers attended an address on Thursday, August 15, after receiving intelligence from the community, police said.

An amount of white and brown powder was found in the address by officers from the Knowsley Targeted Team, which police say was "wrapped into small packages ready for sale".

A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

In a statement, Merseyside Police said: "Drugs bring misery to the streets of Merseyside with the violence that follows closely behind including the use of firearms and other weapons.

"We will continue to proactively target those involved, but with information from the public we can work more efficiently and effectively against those involved in the supply of drugs in your area.

"There are multiple ways the public can pass information on to the Police including in person or via 101 and the force website or Crimestoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.

"We want to work with the community to help make it a better place to live and for our children to grow up in, so please do let us know of any information that you think may help."
