THE doors are open at a discount store chain which has moved across town in St Helens.

One Beyond, the chain formerly known as One Below, closed its store in The Hardshaw Centre earlier this summer.

The Hardshaw Centre is to be demolished as part of plans to regenerate St Helens town centre, meaning all stores have either relocated or closed.

One Beyond, created by the original founders of Poundworld Retail Ltd, was the final store to move.

It has opened a bigger 7,000 square foot store at La Grange Shopping Arcade, Church Square shopping centre taking over the former H&M store site.

It's the final store to relocate from the Hardshaw Centre and is close to Heron Foods, which also moved.

The concept for One Beyond is that it sells 4,000 quality products for £1, but also has thousands of items that go beyond £1.

Christopher Edwards, creator and managing director of One Beyond said: “ We’re delighted to be reopening a bigger store with an increased range in St Helens store at a new location in La Grange Shopping Centre.

“We offer thousands of exciting products that would usually be more expensive elsewhere, so we hope that our low prices will benefit even more shoppers in the local area.”

The likes of Heron, TJ Hughes, the Womble Inn, Shoe Zone and Infinity Occasions have relocated to the shopping centre.
