A CAFE and restaurant that has made "incremental changes" since its launch has enjoyed growing success.
Born and bred in Haydock, dad-of-one Mark Brennan felt that the area was crying out for a relaxed venue that could serve high-quality coffees and healthy food options.
With the perfect unit becoming available in his hometown, Mark launched the ReFuel venue along Church Road in May, and after building up the menu and testing out new ideas, the business seems to be going from strength to strength.

With Mark emphasising that "you have to get everything right" in order to succeed with a new business, ReFuel started off solely serving coffee and cake, with a special blend sourced from Warrington roastery Burtonwood Coffee.
Slowly encouraging customers into the ambient setting along Church Road, the ReFuel team later expanded with a breakfast and lunch menu.
With Mark's previous experience being in the fitness industry, rather than hospitality, this has been a unique boost for the business as customers have enjoyed the health-conscious meals and 'build your own' menu options.
In recent weeks, the business has further diversified by offering Sunday roasts and specials, as well as hosting private events and one-off themed nights, such as the well-received 'Steak and Burger' and 'Tapas' evenings.
Mark, now based in Sutton, said: "We have been incrementally adapting since we opened, because I think it's important to get everything right and not trying to do too many things at once.
"We have had some really positive feedback in person and online, and we had a fantastic reaction to the Tapas small plates in particular.
"We applied for a temporary event licence for these events so people can enjoy their meal with a beer or a glass of wine, and we're hoping to make these a more regular thing."
With the ReFuel team priding themselves on tasty, healthy, and affordable meals, there are also half-price kids meals on offer throughout the summer holidays.
