POLICE are searching for a man who is believed to have stolen £3,000 of fuel in St Helens.
It was reported that on July 1 2024, a man attended Iceland Ormskirk Street, St Helens and stole approximately £3,000 worth of fuel from a generator.
Police have now issued CCTV images of a man they believe may have information relating to the theft.
Detective Inspector Richard Shillito said: “We believe the man pictured could have vital information to assist our enquiries and I would ask him, or anyone who recognises him, to please come forward.
“We are investigating not only the theft of the fuel, but the circumstances surrounding a suspected stolen number plates on the offender's vehicle, and we will do all we can to bring the person or people responsible to justice.”
