POLICE have explained their presence at a farm on Saturday night.
Residents reported seeing a convoy of police cars attending Inglenook Farm, on Moss Nook Lane, in Rainford late on Saturday night, August 3, from shortly before midnight.
It is understood there was a police presence around the village, into the early hours.

When asked about this, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said that it related to a "concern for safety" of a man who was reported missing.
The man was found safe and well, the spokeswoman added."
