POLICE have arrested a man following several reported incidents of indecent exposure.



Officers stopped a suspect in a white van at around 5pm on Thursday (August 1) after it was reported that a man who had exposed himself was in the area of Clock Face Country Park. 

Officers arrested a 36-year-old man from St Helens on suspicion of outraging public decency.

He was taken to a police station and has since been bailed with conditions.

Inspector Josh Griffith said: “I hope this result reassures residents in the area and shows how committed our officers are in investigating such incidents that can cause real distress in our community and are completely inappropriate. 

“I would also like to thank members of the public who informed us of these incidents which led this arrest.

“Our investigation into this incident is still ongoing therefore we urge anyone who has any information to contact Merseyside Police social media desk @MerPolCC using reference 23000330719 so we can investigate."
