AN APPLICATION has been made to turn a residential property into a house of multiple occupation (HMO).
A bid for a certificate of lawfulness for the change of use of a home to a five-person HMO, on Harris Street, in Dentons Green, has been sent to the council.
The applicants have been named on the council planning portal as 'GG-375-187 LIMITED'.
Planning agents AM Architectural Studios Ltd have drawn up the application.
A certificate of lawfulness is is a means of obtaining a decision from a planning authority that a proposed use or works do not require planning permission.

An application for states: "The proposal consists of a change of use from C3 Use class to C4 use class.
"All work will be internal work, and no extensions/external work will be carried out."
It adds: "The existing property was a C3 use class property, and we intend to convert it into a C4 use class property and use it as a HMO.
"The property will house five bedrooms, and will be occupied by five unrelated individuals."
Council planners are expected to make a decision on the application by September 17.
