FOUR teenagers were arrested after youths reportedly broke into a former Pilkington glassworks.
Police said that a group had entered the site of the former Watson Street Works, on Canal Street, St Helens, last Friday evening, July 26, shortly after 7pm.
The suspects were disturbed and police dogs were used in a pursuit after they made off into nearby woodland.
Four teenagers, a 15-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, and two 15-year-old girls, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "It was reported that on Friday, July 26, at around 7.10pm two teenage boys and three teenage girls were seen entering the old Watson Street Pilkington Site in St Helens and several items were taken.
"Officers arrested a 15-year-old boy, one 16-year-old boy and two 15-year-old girls on suspicion of burglary outside the premises.
"They have since been bailed with conditions."
The Pilkington Watson Street Works closed its doors in February after nearly 200 years of production at the location, as operations moved to the Greengate site in the town.
