TWO children who were injured during the stabbings in Southport have been discharged from hospital.

At around 11.50am on Monday, July 29 Merseyside Police were called to reports of “multiple stabbings” at a property in Hart Street where a Taylor Swift-themed dance event was taking place.

The fully-booked club for children, which was advertised as a dance and yoga workshop as well as bracelet-making, quickly became something “like a horror movie”, witnesses to the deadly stabbings have said.

At the time seven children were brought to Alder Hey Children’s hospital. Sadly, despite the hospital’s best efforts, one child died.

Now the Liverpool children’s hospital has confirmed that two children have been released from their care.

A statement read: “We are delighted that two of the children involved in Monday’s awful incident have now been discharged.

“We continue to treat five children involved in the devastating incident in Southport on Monday, including one recently transferred to us from Aintree University Hospital.

“All the children in our care are currently in a stable condition.

“Our heartfelt sympathies remain with all those affected by Monday’s incident.

“We will not be providing any further information at this time.”

Three children died as a result of the stabbings with Merseyside Police confirming the names of the three girls who were tragically killed as six-year-old Bebe King, seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and nine-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar.

A 17-year-old boy from Banks has been charged with murder of the three little girls, 10 counts of attempted murder, and possession of a bladed article, following the tragic incident.
