RESIDENTS in part of St Helens lost electricity as a power cut hit yesterday, Monday.

Properties in Eccleston were affected by the issue, first reported to Scottish Power at 9.47am.

The issue affected some residents through the day, before the matter was resolved.

In a statement to residents, Scottish Power said: "There was a fault in your area which has now been resolved. If you are still without power. please call us on:  Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and North Shropshire: 0800 001 5400."

Meanwhile, some residents in Bold in postcode WA94SP were hit by a power cut late on Monday night. Thr issue has also since been resolved.
