A TALENTED bowler is desperate to represent her country in an upcoming international competition, but her place is dependent on funding.
First becoming involved in ten-pin bowling from the age of five, Harriet Harmon has gone on to achieve countless wins and competition victories over the past two decades.
Highlighting her talent, the Eccleston-based bowler has also represented Lancashire, England, and Great Britain, and has now been selected to bowl for Team England at the Adult Triple Crown competition in Northern Ireland in September.

Despite the jubilation of securing a position in the Team England squad, the competition is self-funded which means that Harriet's place is dependent on raising enough cash to fund the trip.
Desperate to represent her country, in what would be her first international competition as an adult, Harriet has been appealing for sponsorship from local residents or businesses, to help fund her and Team England's trip.
As the Triple Crown event will be live streamed across Europe, Harriet said that the sponsorship could publicise a business to up to 500,000 people.
Harriet, 26, said: "I've represented England as a junior in 2013 and in the youth team in 2015, so this one would be the first time that I'm competing as an adult.
"It's been difficult to secure funding, especially because it's been a tough time for everyone in recent years, but I'm hoping that we can secure enough to compete in September.
"My family has been so supportive of me over the years, especially my dad who did everything he could to allow me to compete when I was younger.
"So I think it will be really nice for things to come full circle and I can represent England as an adult, and have my dad over there supporting me."
