A CYCLIST was taken to hospital after being injured after a collision with a car.

Residents reported seeing emergency services at the scene near the roundabout close to the Simms Road Inn, Garswood, on Thursday morning, July 25.

When asked about this, a police spokesman said that there had been a collision involving a car and a pedal bike.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with a "slight shoulder injury", he said.

The Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We attended a report at 9.40am of an RTC (road traffic collision) involving a car and a pedal bike on Billinge Road/Garswood Road.

"The cyclist was taken to hospital with a slight shoulder injury."
