POLICE are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a missing man.

59-year-old Ian Appleton, from Haydock, has been reported missing from his home since yesterday morning (Tuesday, July 23).

Ian was last seen at around 7.50am on Bradlegh Road in Newton-le -Willows.

He was driving a grey/bronze coloured Honda Civic with registration plate DA08 ZZP.

Ian is 5ft 8” tall and medium build with short brown hair and wears glasses, and was wearing a grey shirt, black suit trousers and black shoes when he was last seen.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to find Ian and police have issued images of the 59-year-old and his car in the hope that someone comes forward with information.

He is known to frequent St Helens and Warrington.
