CHART toppers the Lottery Winners have been announced on the line-up of the borough's newest music festival.
Taking place on Saturday, August 3, Newton Music Festival will be Newton-le-Willows' first music festival for around 20 years.
Organised by a team of dedicated volunteers, the ticketed event will follow the free and ever-popular Newton Town Show at Mesnes Park.
With The K's already announced as the festival's hometown headliners, The Lottery Winners have been confirmed as the event's "very special guests".

After working in the band for the best part of 15 years and previously achieving two Top 40 releases, the Lottery Winners scored a Number One album with 'Anxiety Replacement Therapy' last year.
Earning a loyal following for their upbeat tunes and heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics, the Leigh-based band has played countless gigs and festivals over the years, and recently supported Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at their Wigan Robin Park show.
The Rolling People, Menduulla, Malarky, and Asianblonde make up the rest of the festival line up, which will start from 5pm.
Newton Town Show will take place between 10am and 4pm, and will include a collection of food and drink stalls, arts and crafts workshops, and a wide range of attractions.
In a public statement, The Lottery Winners said: "Not only are the K’s our good friends, they’re one of the most exciting bands out there at the moment.
"When they asked us to support them at their hometown festival, which is also just down the road from us, it was an absolute no brainer.
"AND tickets are only £20, so that’s a double no-brainer. I wonder if the world knows?"
