TWO men have been arrested after being caught by a police dog in Haydock.

On Saturday, July 6, police responded to reports of two males behaving "threateningly" around Sankey Valley Park in Haydock.

The males were reported to have been in possession of knives, so police utilised their dog unit and had PD Quga assist with tracking the individuals in the dark.

The police pup is reported to have tracked the males for "some distance" through the woods, with officers later catching up and arresting the pair.
