POLICE have charged a man after officers were involved in a seven-hour stand-off at a flat on Tuesday.
Armed police attended the area of Liverpool Road and Glover Street yesterday morning at around 9am after reports of a "man repeatedly making threats".
There was a stand-off involving a man at a property and police which lasted for seven hours, with police cordons in place during the incident.
A suspect was arrested in the afternoon at around 4pm.
Police have confirmed that Carl Lee, 44, has since been charged with making threats to kill and affray in connection with the incident.
He will appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We have charged a St Helens man following an incident yesterday, Tuesday, July 2.
"Officers were called to Liverpool Road at 9.05am to a man reportedly making threats. A cordon was put in place at the scene and a man was detained at around 4.30pm.
"Carl Lee, 44, has been charged with making threats to kill and affray.
"He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court tomorrow, Thursday, July 4."
