A NEW opticians has opened in Prescot as a Specsavers store was launched at a retail park.
The team at Specsavers Prescot were hard at work preparing their new store for the recent grand opening.
The new store, located at Cables Retail Park, will provide expert clinical services to the local community, while offering an extensive range of glasses and contact lenses, as well as audiology services.

Store partner and ophthalmic director, Neil Pearson, is proud of his new team and the effort they’ve put into getting the store ready for opening.

Neil said: "I’m excited to take this next step in our adventure and bring vital eyecare and hearing services to more people across the North West. We are delighted to set up a base in Prescot and are looking forward to helping the local community get the care they need.
"Cables Retail Park is a busy and vibrant location with lots of free parking for customers and supports our mission to provide accessible care for all. The store is looking in great shape, and we’re delighted to have officially opened our doors."

The new premises is equipped with six optical consulting rooms and one audiology room, with a total investment of around £725,000. To help operate the store, the directors have taken on eight new colleagues, including one manager and seven optical assistants.
The store has brand-new, state-of-the-art equipment, including an OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) machine which helps optometrists view the health of customer’s eyes in greater detail. The hospital-grade technology can also help detect treatable eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration sooner.

To celebrate the launch, the store hosted an official ribbon cutting ceremony and Jeff Banks, British fashion designer, was in attendance.
The store, which has officially opened to the public, is open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
