When and why did you take up photography?

I was in my late 50s when I first took up photography seriously. It gave me purpose to get out into the outdoors and be creative. I think we live in a fast-paced world and photography makes me slow down and see the world differently at a slower pace.

What do you love about taking pictures?

I love capturing a moment in time and documenting life and the world around me.

Where is your favourite place to take pictures and why?

Most weeks, you will find me in Liverpool city centre, trying to capture candid photos of the people going about their daily lives.

What is your favourite subject matter and why?

Street photography is my favourite because you can walk the same street every day and every day is different.

What do you enjoy about being part of our Camera Club on Facebook?

I appreciate the diversity in the group. There’s everything from animals and plants to people and places. It’s a great mash up of photography genres.

If you could photograph anyone/any place/anything, who/what would it be?

I would love to be on a Bond film set capturing the ‘behind the scenes’ footage.
