A WOMAN who stole Easter eggs and damaged a door at a BP garage has been sentenced in court.

Lisa Slevin, of Kimberley Avenue, Thatto Heath, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Friday, June 21.

The 42-year-old defendant indicated guilty pleas at the hearing to theft and criminal damage.

On January 27, at the BP Garage on St Helens Linkway, Slevin damaged the entrance exit door of the premises to the value of £660.

She also stole 16 Easter Eggs, which were subsequently recovered.

Magistrates imposed a £120 fine for the theft and made Slevin pay £330 in compensation for the criminal damage. 

She was also made to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service. 

Her guilty pleas were taken into consideration upon the sentencing.

Meanwhile, a warrant was issued by the court for the arrest of Slevin's co-defendant, who is charged with the same offences.
