A REAL ale ‘pub crawl’ map featuring destinations across Haydock, Earlestown and Newton-le-Willows has been created.
The St Helens Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) group launched the ‘map’ on Friday.
This complements the trail, which was created last year, featuring real ale boozers in St Helens town centre.
Meanwhile, members went on a pub wander on Friday, as part of the branch’s Summer Socials, handing over awards to some pubs that have recently been moved to under the branch’s remit.
Meeting at the Nine Arches in Earlestown, then going over to the Kirkfield and the Firkin on High Street, Newton-le-Willows, St Helens CAMRA handed over a Committed to Cask Ale Award for 2024.

St Helens CAMRA said: “These awards are given to pubs to recognise that they are consistently committed to serving high quality real ale.
“These pubs have just been moved over to St Helens and District branch from South East Lancs and we are delighted to have such great pubs join our already thriving offering of real ale pubs in our branch”.
